Whistleblowing

Course Overview:
This course is designed to ensure that all staff understand their rights and responsibilities when it comes to raising concerns about wrongdoing, malpractice, or unsafe practices in the workplace. Whistleblowing plays a crucial role in maintaining safe, high-quality services and protecting individuals from harm.

This course promotes a culture of openness, transparency, and accountability, helping organisations comply with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (PIDA) and meet CQC and Ofsted expectations around safeguarding, governance, and staff conduct.

By the end of the session care workers will:

•        Understand the legislation and standards governing raising concerns at work

•        Understand the importance of raising concerns in an appropriate manner

•        Understand the difference between a Grievance and a Public Interest Disclosure

•        Understand their role and that of their manager with regard to raising concerns.
